Therapy Is Cool, Actually!

Remember when therapy was this secretive thing nobody talked about? Yeah, those days are thankfully fading away. One of the most refreshing shifts I've seen in recent years is how openly people discuss their mental health journeys. And you know what? Therapy IS cool – not in a trendy way, but in a genuinely revolutionary way.

What's cool about therapy is that it's one of the few spaces in modern life where you're not expected to be productive. You're not selling anything, impressing anyone, or optimizing your performance. You're just exploring what it means to be you, with all your complexities and contradictions. In a world constantly pushing you to do more and be more, there's something radical about a space that simply invites you to be curious about yourself without judgment.

I love when clients tell me how they've started casually mentioning therapy in conversations with friends or coworkers. "I was talking about this with my therapist," they'll say, and suddenly everyone at the table feels permission to share their own experiences. These small moments of openness create ripples that change our culture. So yeah, therapy is cool – not because it's perfect or because it promises to "fix" you, but because it honors the complicated, beautiful human experience we're all navigating together.
