About OSPVL

Established in 1998, Ocean State Pride Volleyball League is an organization based in Rhode Island that proudly serves the LGBTQIA+ community and our allies. OSPVL provides all levels and types of volleyball play, all year round, prioritizing a safe and supportive space. This non-profit is focused on community, inclusivity, and opportunity, ensuring a place for anyone to find their home. OSPVL provides all year round volleyball both indoor and outdoor, ranging from recreational pick-up, tournaments, and beginner's clinics, but also volunteer opportunities, social events, and more. Whether you're just starting out or a seasoned player, looking to make new connections, or trying something new, there's a place for you here!

Programs & Opportunities

OSPVL offers year-round recreational volleyball for all skill levels:

  • Indoor Seasons: September-December and January-May at St. Mary Academy (Bayview) in East Providence

  • Outdoor Play: Summer competitive play and scramble tournaments at Mulligan's Island

  • Tournaments: Various formats to challenge skills and build team connections

  • Open Registration: No tryouts required—just show up ready to play and connect

The league welcomes all players 18+ of any skill level, using randomized teams to encourage new connections and ensure everyone feels included.
